Molly has been singing and playing instruments since 2004, and has spent the last almost 5 years making music with her husband Ben, who directs the Kearsley Street Big Band. Originally from Livonia, and having studied at both Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan-Flint, Molly performed with many orchestras, big bands, and small ensembles in the metro-Detroit area before moving to Genesee County. During the day, she teaches children with autism, and is part of the marching band staff at Goodrich High School. She also performs in the Genesee Wind Symphony and as the cantor at King Of Glory Lutheran.
Outside of teaching and performing, Molly loves to collect and play vinyl records (her favorites being Jefferson Airplane); cuddle with her two cats, Skeeter and Rascal; play video games and cook with her friends; and eat the entire tub of ice cream at once. Molly thanks her husband Ben for helping her love performing again after many years of burnout, all of her friends who either play with her in KSBB or cheer for her from faraway places, and her mom for buying an SUV in 2010 so she could play the double bass. She hopes to see you at a show soon!
Maranda Conigliaro is an artistic dreamer whose list of eccentricities is even longer than her hair. Maranda's love of music runs deep in her blood and led to her stage debut at age five for her family's Southern Baptist Church. After this, she only continued to hone her craft and her adoration of singing through her Bachelor's in Music Performance at the University of Michigan–Flint and a twelve year streak at the campus Summer Vocal Music Academy. She now spends her musical time with the Kearsley Street Big Band. When not singing her heart out, Maranda can be found doing just about anything crafty, from drawing, to painting, sewing, and even making flower crowns to add a little whimsy to the world. Maranda loves to bring positivity and kindness wherever she goes and is always ready to make a new friend!
